Message	From what have seen average cast iron hardness is around 300 (Brinell Scale) which converts to about Rockwell C hardness scale of about 32. A couple of points of hardness difference should be sufficient. The stainless Nord-lock's are around a min hardness of C51. Also works really good on exhaust bolts and turbo actuators (if you have adjustable ones). click on wedge lock washers
